Quilt Exhibition 2010 is on again at the Botanic Garden. From 13th  - 20st Aug  9.30 a.m. -5 p.m. daily. Come on down for a look at what our quilters have turned out for this show. Free Entry.

Island Breeze, my new quilt is up and patterns kits are both now available.Although not a colour range I work with often, I must say I enjoyed sewing andwatching this one grow. It's fresh and soft and bright. Fabric fat quarters and packs are both ready to make this one weekend quilt.

We strive hard to bring you the best and latest in quilt fabrics and books and rulers and.... well , everything really, related to quilting. You will want to check the FABRIC section for everything new and current.We love you to visit and stay awhile.

Imperial Collection 6      Robert Kaufman fabric does it again... the Imperial Collections are always spectacular. The new quilt is now on display and it's made from this purple range. Did you know, Purple is the 'new hip colour ' ? Quilt Purple is getting a lot of press these days.Our Fabric section has the whole range, so do take a look. Classes for this quilt are on going. Royal Peacock Collection ... and royal it is.Just the most gorgeous Peacocks and complementary fabrics from Exclusively Quilters.The main panel has two faces, a large peacock on one half and a stunning border print around a smaller peacock in the middle. The 'hand' feels like silk. Luxurious colours and patterns.

   

Hollyhocks Collection from the design board of Dutch quilter Lennie Honcoop. Her name may be familiar to many of you who bought her two applique books from us last year. Now she has put her pattern for Hollyhocks on fabric and the range includes some lovely mottled colurs to complete the quilt. Easy FREE pattern for a weekend quilt when you buy a prepack.

Country Kitchen Collection

Complete with co rodinates in checks and dots, this is a cute to boot collection.

     

The classes: At Quilts n Calicoes, classes are available all week for different projects. We do not have start up dates, except at the beginning of the year. Most people lead such busy lives here in Singapore, it's easier to just fit into the class time and day you want. So you may have all participants at the same level or completely differnt levels in the same class.

Every now and then however,I do post classes on specific dates, especially for One day Classes.

Here's a list of regular classes, held all year round. No experience is necessary :) You will love making your blocks and see a quilt at the end. Come join us for some fun and learning.

Beginners' Patchwork  (hand sewing )  Tuesdays    10.30  a.m. -12.30 p.m. or 2p.m. -4p.m.

6 lessons S$150.00 not including supplies.

Beginners' Patchwork  (machine sewing )  on Thursdays 10.30 a.m. -12.30 p.m. .

Tuesdays and Saturdays from  2p.m. -4 p.m.  S$ 125.00 not including supplies.

 4 lessons

Beginners' Applique (Hand sewing) on Saturday 2.00pm - 4.00pm S$180.00 not including supplies

6 lessons. Please note: classes are consecutive weeks unless there is a public holiday. Should any other urgent reason require a class day to be cancelled, the class will be replaced the following week. We do our best to make sure you are not inconvinienced.
